Go Forward in 2011

As I mentioned before, Ryan and I fasted this Sunday. Our hope is to be blessed with children someday, and this was the purpose of our fast. I received emails and phone calls from family and close friends who fasted with us, and we so appreciate the support. More than you can know. The day ended with a priesthood blessing which, again, confirmed that our deepest desires will come to fruition in the Lord's time.

I am buoying myself up with this promise and have decided on a personal theme for 2011... Go forward on the assumption that everything will work out. My goal is to use this simple phrase as my mantra whenever times are tough. I am hoping I'll be able to. So far so good... but it is only day three of 2011. ;) Little victories, right?

That is a wonderful mantra. I hope that it helps you through any difficult times ahead, but more than that, I hope that your hope and assumptions bear fruition, soon!

Happy New Year!

I love that theme. In fact I have been repeating it to myself all day.
We fasted for you family this Sunday. I'm also certain and filled with hope that your family will grow to include a child in the very near future.

Dear Michelle...you don't know me but I've been following your blog for a couple years now...I just wanted you to know that I fasted for you too. I believe in the power of fasting and I was happy to join in the fasting and prayers for you and your future family!

That's a wonderful mantra for 2011. I'm praying that the new year brings everything you are looking forward to, and more.
PS: I read your blog this morning, and later in the day I really started to worry about pretty much everything. Then your mantra suddenly popped into my head ... and it was better than Rescue Remedy!! So thank you, as ever, for sharing your thoughts and insights.

Michelle, I found your blog today, and I know you wrote this post a year ago, but I wanted to tell you that it inspired me to have the same personal goal for myself for 2012! My husband had a procedure done in November 20111, and we are praying and hoping that the Lord will bless with a child in 2012! The journey hasn't been easy, but the Lord is good and we are waiting for Him to bless us!

Bren, I am so glad! It was so helpful to me to have that mantra, even during the pregnancy when I had worries and fears. I, too, am praying 2012 is your year!!

FAITH IN GOD MEANS HAVING FAITH IN HIS TIMING.
